The risk of a patient getting out of a bed and leaving themselves susceptible to injury is a problem many caregivers have to deal with on a daily basis. We offer bed exit alarms that make this job easier and reduce the likelihood a patient will leave their bed and wander unsupervised while at risk of falling. The system can be connected the nurse call system using the provided connection lead or can be used stand-alone if preferred.

The bed exit alarm notifies staff when a resident leaves their bed. The alarm can sound locally in the room itself or it can be connected to a nurse call system so that the alarm is transmitted around the building. The system can also be supplied with portable pagers so that the alarm is sent to staff directly while they are on the move.

The controller works in 1 of 3 selectable modes:

• With a bed or chair sensor mat when a person attempts to get up from the bed or chair
• With a floor mat when a person steps on or applies weight to the sensor
• With a magnetic pull cord that alerts staff if the client moves away from the controller e.g. attempts to leave a chair unsupervised
